Velma May  Goshert
Velma May Goshert, 84, of Stevens, passed from this life into glory on Saturday, September 30, 2017, at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital.

She was born in Ephrata on May 12, 1933, to the late Nathan and Edna (Adams) Buffenmyer and was the wife of the late LeRoy Goshert who died in 2002.

She was a member of Bible Baptist Church, Akron.

Velma was a seamstress in her younger days. She always loved to sew and make her own clothing and crafts. She was co-owner of Old Pump Ceramics, in Denver, in the 70's and 80's with her late husband. She enjoyed all types of art, baking, cooking, quilting and painting.

She will be greatly missed by her two surviving sons, Lawrence, husband of Kathleen Goshert of Stevens, Leslie Goshert also of Stevens; 3 grandchildren, Danielle Pettigrew of Garnet Valley, Ramsey Goshert of Virginia Beach, Aaron Goshert of Lititz; six great-grandchildren, Faith, Noah, Mila, Gavin, Silas and Elsie, all of which called her "Nanny"; a brother, Richard Buffenmyer of Ephrata; two sisters, Patricia, wife of Gary Gipe of Denver and Donna, wife of John Willwerth of New Holland.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Kevin Goshert and several siblings.

A viewing will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017, from 6 to 8 PM at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver. An additional viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, from 9 to 10 AM at the funeral home followed by funeral services at 10 AM, with Pastor George H. Frantz officiating. Interment will take place in the Mellingers Union Cemetery.
