Harold D. Stengel, 63, of Stevens, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2018, at home.

He was born in Altoona to Harold D. and the late Gladys (Miner) Stengel and was the husband of Stella Mae (Redcay) Stengel.

He was a member of Reinholds United Zion Church.

Harold was a maintenance supervisor for an apartment complex. He enjoyed country music, dancing and wood burning. He was a kind and caring man, with a good sense of humor, who loved to have fun.

In addition to his wife and father, Harold is survived by 3 children, Stephanie Stengel, Jeff, husband of Brenda (Rieser) Hummer, Tamara, wife of Patrick Dunlap; 5 step-children, Ray Redcay, Karen Sweigart, Clair, husband of Karrie (Lee) Redcay, Mervin, husband of Christine (Wentzel) Redcay, Laverne, husband of Betty (Walter) Redcay; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 10 step-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren and a sister, Janet Oswald.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a son, Nathan Stengel and a brother, Robert Stengel.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018, from 6 to 8PM at Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Avenue, Ephrata. An additional viewing will be held on Friday, March 23, 2018, from 10 to 11AM at the Reinholds United Zion Church, 305 West 897, Reinholds, followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM with Pastor John Leisey officiating. Interment will take place in the Memory Gardens Memorial Cemetery.
